Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers.

RideID is more than just a digital key. It’s a way to showcase your build, share your journey, and connect with fellow car lovers.

RideID Basics

Q1: What is RIDE ID?

RIDE ID is a platform that allows users to create digital profiles for their rides. These profiles can include photos, specifications, stories, and links to social media or websites. Each profile is accessible via a unique Smart QR code.

Yes, RIDE ID offers a free tier with basic features and one active ride profile. Users who want more customization, additional ride profiles, and access to premium tools can choose a paid membership.

Free users are limited to one active ride profile. Premium members can create and manage multiple ride profiles under a single account.

We hear you! Expanding RIDE ID to include other ride types like boats, motorcycles, RVs, and more is a priority for us, and we’re actively working on making it happen in the near future. Stay tuned!

Yes, you can update your ride’s details, photos, and links anytime by using the “Edit” option on your profile dashboard.

You’ll retain your account, but premium features like extra photo uploads and advanced customization will be disabled until you resubscribe. You will need to choose one ride to remain active as your free profile; any additional ride profiles will be moved to your archive and will not be publicly viewable until you upgrade again.

Photo reordering is currently a premium feature. Free users can delete and re-upload photos to adjust the order.

If your ride profile is set to public, anyone who scans your QR code or has the direct link can access the details you’ve created for that ride. You have full control over what information is displayed.

Users do have the option to archive ride profiles, which removes them from public view. When a ride is archived, its Smart QR code goes into hibernation mode and will not display any information or track scans until the ride is reactivated by the user.

Ordering & Payment

Q1: I need to order stickers or I need to order more stickers. How do I do that?

Stickers are available for purchase through the Ride ID platform for both free and premium users. To order, simply visit the ride profile you want stickers for and click on the QR. From there, you’ll see options to Save, Share, Print, or Order stickers tied to that specific ride.

Yes, we offer a few design and size options, including special editions. Availability may vary throughout the year. Size and color options are available at checkout.

Each Ride ID sticker contains a Smart QR code linked to your ride profile. Just peel and apply it to your ride in a clean, visible spot. Once scanned, it will open your profile instantly.

Yes, Ride ID offers your Smart QR on certain apparel and gear. Check out www.rideid/shop.com to see what’s available.

These stickers are made of high-quality 6mil vinyl with decent adhesion. If you are concerned about pulling up paint, simply apply a small amount of heat to the sticker before removing.

Technical & QR Code Issues

Q1: Can anyone scan my QR or do they need the app?

Anyone that scans your Smart QR code — whether they have the app or not — will be able to view your public ride profile.

First, make sure the QR code is clean, visible, and hasn’t been damaged or distorted. Also, double-check your phone’s camera settings—some devices may require enabling QR scanning in the settings or using a specific app. Instances of QR codes not working are very rare. If it still won’t scan, you can log in to your account to download a fresh copy. For additional help, contact Support@RideID.com.

Yes, scans are tracked even if you’re using a free profile. While you won’t be able to view scan statistics as a free user, the data is collected in the background. If you upgrade to a premium membership, you’ll gain access to those insights, including the number of times your ride has been scanned.

Yes, each RIDE ID profile has the option to show or hide its stats. This setting can be edited in the edit section of each ride profile.

You can manage your notification preferences in your account settings. From there, you’ll be able to choose whether to mute notifications for a limited time or disable them indefinitely. When scans are happening frequently, the app will ask you if you would like to silence notifications — doing so will disable them for 12 hours.

Ride ID headquarters will periodically scan QR codes during the printing process to confirm functionality and proper linkage to the correct ride profile. These internal scans are minimal and ensure your Smart QR is ready to go.
